No Go On Fox O
Hey, just wanted to update that I was not chosen as part of the final 3 for the Face of Fox Toledo. O, well. Maybe that means I'm supposed to be doing something else or some other opportunity will come up this year. All I know is that I need a new job, an agent, headshots, and out of Toledo.

Fox of Toledo Update
Hello all... I hope all is going well.
Just a quick update on the Face of Fox Toledo competition. I went into the studio today to do the green screen work... I believe it went pretty well. I heard some "greats" and "I like your facial expressions and your sarcasm" and "good timing." Of course I had to run some of the spots a couple of times because they were over the allotted 10 seconds... which a side note here, if you all think I talk fast on a normal day, this is no joke... I believe what they were mostly impressed with was the fact that I had the timing down. They also complimented on the way I delivered some of the spots.
So now I wait for the phone call that tells me whether or not I am in the top three. This phone call should happen around Wednesday. If I am then they give me more info and I have my final audition on Friday morning.
It's so exciting, and a little nerve racking. Believe me, I was really nervous this morning and last night for that matter, that I'm not too sure anyone would want to be around me. But, all I know is that this is a dream and I am actually pursuing it. I am so proud of myself. Also, when I walked out of the Fox studio doors I felt good about what I had accomplished.
While there I found out that there were really somewhere between 130 and 150 people that auditioned. So, even if I don't make the top 3, which I am not disclaiming this possibility, I believe making the top 11 is a feat of its own. It also feels good because this whole experience has been pretty validating as far as my skill and the fact that my dream may not be so far fetched.
Well, I must do some paperwork now because I'm sure you all know that I have been preoccupied. I hope all is going well on your end of the blog and I look forward to talking to you soon.

Opportunity A Knockin'
I hope all is well with you... I have lost touch with some of you, but I hope you are fairing well.
So this past weekend I auditioned for the Face of Fox Toledo competition. It was very interesting. I observed a variety of people, a lot of attractive people. It was a little nerve racking. The first part of the audition was where I had to tell them about myself, show them my personality, and all those kind of questions. The second part of the audition was where I actually had to perform six commercial spots. It was a great experience. Since I want to pursue film and TV, I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to try my hand at it. So when I was finished they told me they would contact the top ten people within the next week.
Never did I expect Monday afternoon to receive a call congratulating me for making the top eleven and moving on to round two of auditions. I am so excited, this is one step closer of me actually doing what I really want to do. So, I have my next audition Friday morning at the channel 36 station to do some commercial spots in front of the green screen. I've never even seen a green screen. So, I will continue to show them my personality and style... which my the way they complimented my outfit... which I have been told my style is pretty east coast... it's just me. So if anyone has any advice or tips for me they would be greatly appreciated.
The most exciting part of all this is that if I win I will receive a one year job contract... yes, that means that I will quit Mayfair... yeah!!! Now I know that the job will only be for a year, but I believe maybe it's just what I need to push me forward to make that move to Chicago or New York or wherever it is I want to move to pursue a career in film and tv. It's a little scarey. I mean I actually did something that pushes me towards my dream. I never expected to make the top ten. But to know that they chose me out of the about eighty people that auditioned tells me that I actually can have a shot. If given the opportunity for this job, my whole life will change... for the better. I have for once put action to my dreams... and it actually worked in my favor. Hoorah! for me.
I must sign off now, I hope all is well on your end of the blog.

SILENCE
Seeing beyond the naked eye
Intending for the best
Listening with more than ears
Expecting something to appear
Noticing what you've been blind to
Coming to terms with...
Expecting so much more

Interesting Experiences
Well, not much to update really. Fiddler opens tonight, it's been an experience to say the least. That is all I will say. Work is kicking my butt... there is just not enough time in the day. I got my car back... yeah! Gas prices suck. And, I think I'm going to try my hand at the Face of Fox Toledo thing next weekend. First prize is a one year job contract with Fox... don't really know what it will involve, but probably promo stuff and commercial stuff. Anyhow, maybe if I know that I've only got a job for a year I will be able to get my butt in gear and actually move. I don't know.
I hope all is going well with you. Talk to you soon.
Bubbles,
